Sue Spaulding Obituary

Sue Carole Spaulding FT. LAUDERDALE, FL - Sue Carole Spaulding, 71, of Lillian, AL and born in Indianapolis, IN, passed away in Ft. Lauderdale, FL on December 5, 2018. She requested no service. Sue was preceded in death by both parents, Jane Axworthy Spaulding and Adrian Rudolph Spaulding. Survivors include sister Pat Kuntz (Ken), brother Robert Alan Spaulding (Jane), several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and cousins. Sue graduated from Mooresville HS (IN) in 1965 and received a Master's Degree from IUPUI. She retired from the Department of Psychology at the University of North Carolina, Charlotte, where she served in several capacities as lecturer and supporting student success and retention. She was an avid learner and led an adventurous life from a cab driver in Tampa, EMT support for the INDY 500, community theatre participant, among others. The family suggests, if desired, remembrances be made in Sue's name to the UNC Charlotte Foundation at: psych.uncc.edu/scholarshipsawards/giving-psychology, or a favorite charity.
