In My Pocket

I have memories in my pocket.
They rattle among the change.

My memories of you are treasures I carry wherever I go.

They are stored in bits and pieces, parts of a beautiful whole
They give me comfort when I think I am alone.

Yes, I have memories in my pocket, like so much other stuff I keep there.

But of all the treasures I have, it’s the memories of you that are the most precious.

Dear Estelle and Cathy,

Words cannot begin to express the sadness in my heart for your loss. Bobby was like a brother, to my brother Lee Peyton, and I can only say to all of you the loss is not as great as a loss without wonderful memories of all the good and bad times. When sadness comes to each of you, just reach back into time and think about something that happen to you with him and give him a great big smile. God knows just how much you can bear and it may seem unbearable right now, but just hold on to all those wonderful memories and don't forget to smile, one more time for Bobby.

Love you all!

To My Aunt Estella - We little knew that morning, that God was
going to call Bobby's name. In life we loved him dearly, in death we do the same. It broke our hearts to lose him, he did not go alone, part of us went with him the day God called him home. He left us peaceful memories, his love is still our guide, and though we can not see him, he is always at our side. Your family chain is broken and nothing seems the same, but as God calls us one by one, your family will be together again. Love, your niece, Diana
