I remember that the two of you, Carl and Alice, like me, were part of the original cohort that moved into a what was then a new Callie Avenue condo, development, in Morton Grove, in 2002. Over the years, the two of you frequently included me in activities , from the yearly ice cream social you organized to Passover meals and ceremonies in your home. Alice was always a gracious hostess, and you were a gracious host, Carl, often ready to chat on the bench in front of our shared building, even as you prepared, with Alice, for a summer's drive across the U.S. I have good memories of those interactions, and I will miss Alice, and the commons that we shared. Peace be with you, Carl.
