Dear Eileen, Kristana, and Brent, What a beautiful service! There was no one like him! Steve and I are always here for you. I truly considered him one of my best friends. The hours we spent with work always seemed to turn to talks about family, sports or ortho apts. How proud he was of you- I treasure his emailed photos from track meets and ski trips. We had so many adventures on biz trips- always trying to get the first flight home after meetings-so we became great at running to flights and double booking laughing the entire time. His attitude was always positive and his kindness so genuine. -

April 5, 2009

Eileen, Kristana, and Brent-

Our deepest sympathies go to you and your family during this tough time. Arnie has always been a great friend of the Schneider family. Being the brother of Fred, we often saw each other during sporting events in Chicago. We once went to a Cubs game and met beforehand for dinner. One of the first things Arnie said to me was "Well, where are they?" Confused, I asked back, what do you mean? Knowing that I had recently had my first child, he said, "The pictures of your new daughter." That's just the way he was. Arnie was as geniune a friend as I'll ever know.

He was truly a great human being, but it's obvious that God had a special project for him.

He will be missed, but his life was filled with great memories that will never be forgotten.

With Love,
Joe Schneider, Trish and Alyssa

John O'Malley

April 4, 2009

Dear Eileen and Family -

I had just heard the sad news from my Mother and sister Laura. I guess my Mom had seen you and Arnie not too long ago. At any rate I felt I had to write you this note. It has been many years since I have seen Arnie (college at DePaul) and even more years since I have seen you (grammar school at St. Matthias). In all that time Arnie had a special place in my heart, he was a true friend. For those many years I spent in Ireland in school just coming back for summer’s; Arnie was one of a handful of true friends who never let the distance come between us. I still remember the summer’s in his Mom’s apartment listening to Aerosmith and Boston... I am proud to see that he became the man that he did and left behind a life worth living, filled with family, friends and accomplishments.

May God’s Blessings and our Prayers be with you and your children, your family and Arnie’s Mom during this difficult time.

Respectfully;

John (Jimmy) O’Malley and Family

When Chuck called me to tell me that he had bad news about Arnie, I knew instantly who he was talking about. I say this because I have not seen or talked to Arnie in many, many years and just with the mention of his name my mind was filled with memories of him.
My thoughts linger back to all of those long, hot summer days spent at the Point, soaking up the warm sun, swimming among the rocks, listening to the Loop on the radio with a cold Stroh's or Olympia in hand and watching as the gathering of a few friends that would soon swell to a massive crowd of good friends... and Arnie was among those friends.
A smile comes across my face when I think of all those crazy, silly things that we did as teenagers in high school and now...now we're here at a point in our lives that those distant memories are brought back by the passing of a good friend.
Arnie was that good friend, a friend that was a part of my high school days.
A friend who went on to succeed in life in a professional way and to far exceed his life in a most personal way with his wife and family while all the time just being himself.

My heart of prayer goes out to you, Eileen and to your two children, Kristana and Brent. May God's hands hold you in comfort as Arnie begins his eternal life...As his life here was so rich in love, and family and friends...

Dear, Eileen, Kristana, and Brent,

The 23rd Psalms has always been a source of comfort for me and I hope that it will bring you comfort as well. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family during this difficult time. In you heart cherish the many memories of a loving husband and father. My God be with you during this most difficut time.

Psalms 23

The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.
He maketh me to lie down in green pastures:
He leadeth me beside the still waters
He restoreth my soul:
He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil: for thou art with me;
Thy rod and thy staff they comfort me
Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies:
Thou anointest my head with oil;
My cup runneth over.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life:
And I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.

To Arnie's Family,

I had the occasion to work with Arnie during the course of the production of the feature film "The Break-Up" a few years ago.

I was saddened today to read of his passing.

Mr. Wirtz was quoted as saying that Arnie "had a great disposition, and he left everybody feeling good". I heartily agree.

I hope that wonderful memories of your loved one give you strength during this difficult time, and just wanted you to know that there are many of us out here who appreciated "Mr. Arnie" very much.
