Jeanette Gardner, beloved wife of the late Leon Gardner, M.D.; loving mother of Mary Elizabeth (David Bessel) Caneva, Michael (Karen), Dennis and Timothy (Wendy) Gardner; proud grandmother of
Christopher, Keith, Amy, Andrew, Jason, Joshua, David and Lydia; and dearest great-grandmother; fond sister of Ellen Buffo and Eleanor Orr; dearest aunt of many. A Chapel Service will be held Thursday, 11 a.m. at Blake-Lamb Funeral Home, 4727 W. 1034d St. Oak Lawn. Interment Resurrection Cemetery, Romeoville. Visitation Wednesday, 4 to 9 p.m. For info:

I miss Ms. Jeanette every day. Montgomery Place activities are just not the same without her singing, her storytelling, her sense of humor, and the inspiration of her sweet personality. I was blessed to have known her. My thoughts and prayers are with her family, that God will provide solace and comfort at this time.

We are sorry that we will not be able to attend Aunt Jeanette's funeral, although she is in our thoughts and prayers...and part of my best childhood memories too. I remember the Sunday afternoon trips to Chicago with Uncle Lee, Aunt Jeanette and Tim. With sympathy. Terry and Jill Orr
