John Ferrero Obituary
John Michael Ferrero, Jr., 78, of Crystal Lake, IL, born on January 28, 1939 in Chicago to John M. and Mary Frances (nee Leslie/Chester) Ferrero and left us on March 19, 2017. John married Lois B. (nee Galizia) and were blessed with four precious children, Christine (Scott) Craig, John M. (Karen Burgess) Ferrero III, Jean-Marie (Tom) Brickey, and Scott Ferrero. Adored by 12 grandchildren; loved brother of Patricia (Bob), Theresa and Bernadette (John); dear uncle to many nieces and nephews; brother-in-law to Dolores (Ted), Alice (Bob), and Norman (Ellen). Open visitation will be at Davenport Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Crystal Lake, on Friday, March 24, 3pm-9pm and Saturday, March 25, 9am-10am followed by a 10:30am Funeral Mass at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, Crystal Lake. Interment at Windridge Memorial Park, Cary.To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.

I didn't know Mr. Ferrero, but it always made my day to see him wave and wave back to him. It just hasn't been the same not seeing him there and I know there are countless others feeling the same. My deepest condolences to the family. May all your precious memories bring you peace.

John was such a loving, caring person with a great sense of humor. He was the first one to the door if you needed help, even if he was limping himself. He always made me feel like I was important whether I was 5 or 52. Godspeed on your new journey John, we will miss you.
