John E. Takacs, age 75, County Club Hills resident formerly of Hegewish, Roseland and Burnside. Retired Sheet Metal Engineer for the Chicago Park District. U.S. Army Corps Veteran. Husband of Barbara Fitzgerald, nee Thompson and the late Rita Mae, nee Powers; father of Dale (the late Debbie) Takacs, Donna (James) La Banca, Diane (Michael) Coffey, Sheila (Mike) Calomino, Sandra (Mark) Liebbe and Julie (Brad) Skoff. Special friend of Shawn Fitzgerald and Noreen (Joseph) Woytko; grandfather of 15; brother of Anne (Ernie) Pentek, Peter and the late Alexander Takacs; dear uncle of many nieces and nephews. Resting at Panozzo Bros. Funeral Home, 530 W. 14th St. (US Rt. 30, 3 blks E. of Western Ave.), Chicago Heights on Wednesday, May 23 from 3 to 9 p.m. Funeral services Thursday 11 a.m. Interment St. Mary Cemetery, Evergreen Park. 708-481-9230

Dear Uncle John, I know I didn't get to see you very much lately, but my prayers and thoughts and love were always with you.
