With sincerest condolences on the loss of our beloved Joe, who always welcomed and greeted me with a smile, a warm and loving embrace and spoke only words of kindness, love and laughter throughout our 15-year relationship and then marriage to his youngest son, Michael Joseph Francis O'Neill. His truthful and joyful manner will be forever etched in my heart as one to be admired. I loved him so and he loved me right back as he did my mother, Rose, and late stepfather, Milton Gordon.
May Joe be rejoicing in the soft and gentle embrace of our Heavenly Father.
He will be missed by Mrs. Sherrie Lynn O'Neill

Dear Therese,
You are in our thoughts and prayers at this difficult time and always! While we never met "dad' in person; we feel a deep sense of loss. May you remember all the good times and take some comfort in knowing that you were there for him! Over the years, your assistance and love for him must have been a real source of pride for Joe!

Therese and Family:
Know that you are all in my thoughts and prayers. What a wonderful and kind soul your father was. I only have fond memories of him and his stout laugh. Always remember my days in the D65 District Office and sitting in the basement with him and sharing a laugh of the good old days gone by.
When we are born our parents carry us. When they get older and leave this earth we carry them. The truth is that they are carrying us forever.
We are all better people having the opportunity to know and be a part of your father's life. He had that Irish Charm that made one feel at home and good at where they were. If you could not find laughter when in the room with him then shame on you.
God Bless Joseph O'Neill. We all have an angel up in heaven looking down and after us. We all know that Joe has a seat next the to Big Man and is telling him a story or two that he never heard before.....
Always to the best to the O'Neill family. Always.
