Deanna and I send our deepest sympathies to the Hecht family. We are saddened by this loss to all who loved him. Mike has completed the full journey of his life, surrounded by his loving family. It is a blessing that this could be so, but the world is a poorer place for not having Myer Hecht anymore.

I have had the privilege of knowing Mike for only the last several years, as I only recently married his daughter Naomi. He welcomed me into his family with graciousness and kindness. He spent the last weekend of his life with family and friends, as it should be. He will be missed deeply. With love,

Mary and I extend our sympathy and empathy to the Hecht Family. Mike was a dear friend of whom I had great respect. He was indeed a true rabbi in every sense of the world -- a teacher. I learned much from him as did others. Across America he has left friends who appreciated him for his intelligence and kindness. He meant a lot to our family, and he will live in our hearts and memories forever. There are too many Mike Hecht stories to write here, but I can testify that he loved stories and enjoyed telling them. What a fellow pilgrim we were blessed to know and one who blessed those who knew him. Amen.

To the Hecht Family,
Our sincere condolences to your family. As long time members of B'nai Torah, one of the highlights of High Holy Days was listening to Mr. Hecht blow the shofar. My kids grew up listening to and waiting for the shofar and his voice was so wonderful when he would read the responsive readings. Every year , we would look forward to his gift to us the congregants.
Sincerely,
Pam, Annie and Seth Barron

My condolences to the Hecht family on your loss. I was a childhood friend of Rachel, whose memory has been with me all these many years.
