My beloved Uncle Paul, I tried to call you today to wish you an early Happy Veterans Day but both of you phone numbers did not work. My intellect told me you were gone, bur you will live forever in my heart. You have been a wonderful Godfather. I wish I could have properly said farewell. Aunt Alice, Dad, Danny, and Paulette were lovingly there to greet you as you will for me one day. Always loving you, Linda Kravets

To Jim and Ana Maria, we extend our heartfelt condolences. We enjoyed knowing Paul and often visiting with him when walking past your building. Really enjoyed watching his life in pictures on the website with the final 2 of him and Turk bringing back many memories of our visits with both of them. He was a wonderful man from the Greatest Generation who we will deeply miss. From his friends and your friends, Hershe & Chuck.

Death was not God's original purpose for us, it is something for which we can never be completely prepared. Ecclesiastes 3:11

I knew Paul for over 20 years as a tenant and friend. The building is not the same without him. Now every time I come out on the patio my heart sinks. I can still hear in my ears Alice standing on the third floor landing, calling: Paul, dinner! I will never forget our long conversations and the meandering stories Paul told about India, about his squadron commander, and many others. They don't make people like him any more.

Paul and his wife were vital members of the Eastlake Terrace community when I first moved there back in 1981. I haven't seem him now for some five years but he has always been in my thoughts. There was lots of humor, lots of seriousness and most of all great humanity. He, Alice and Paulette will forever be with me and my family.

My favorite memory of Paul was when he got a dog and did he love that dog, and that dog loved him. Dogs are family and this one changed his life for the better - we'd hang in the park at Rogers Ave Beach enjoying some days, and then some not so nice days. My condolences to Jim and the entire family. RIP Paul, RIP.
