I remember Tim and I having to leave the fun parties that Summer ('57, '58?) and drive to Chicago for the graveyard shift at Ryerson Steel. We had been friends since, I think, Monroe School. Lots of great memories.

Tim was the lead organizer of our HTHS '57 reunions, and a leader in our class. We'll all miss him.

Tim was a long time friend and a fraternity brother. I was with Tim in Hinsdale in the fall of 2014, and rode in his 1936 restored Ford with him and my wife, Sue. I have fond memories of Tim, especially of our times in Oxford, Ohio in the late 1950s. He was kind, caring, and great fun to be with. He was 2 years younger than I am, and I watched and admired his PDT pledge class, which was the closest class I remember. They remained friends for decades, and found many ways to get together. It was a privilege to have him as a friend.

In Loving Memory of Timothy C. Pyle

The last time that I saw Tim is was when he was out here years back in Las Vegas with Mom at Lake Las Vegas over in Henderson and he was exactly how I would choose to want to remember Timothy Clark Pylesinging heartily with his college buddies as if it were still back in the Fifties. And when these guys would singarm in arm at timesit wasn't the voice, and timing, and feeling of some aging Men desperately trying to grasp on to some lost Memories or something, but of honest Men loving Life, and living it to the fullest as if they were still in some fraternity or something still back in college at Miami of Ohio. These laughing Men all sang so proudly and strongly and in key and with the fervor of the Boys they once were in their late teens. And it was a marvelous sight to behold, a camaraderie something those in the Baby Boom Generation and generations below may sadly never witness or possibly imagine. And they sang and and they sang and they sang and they sang. And then they sang some more. And Happiness totally consumed the room as all of their joyous voices rang out through the open doors and across Lake Las Vegas, off into Time immemorial. And I was truly amazed, speechless, almost jealous of this unique bond and friendship that these Men had. I had seen this singing a few times before with Tim and his Brother, Uncle Dick and our Uncle Jack I think, and it was the same proud, strong singing every time. And it was absolutely beautiful.

We will sorely miss this Man. And everyone who has known and loved and been a part of Tim's blessed Life on this planet has a huge void right now that is so sudden and can never be filled. Tim was a legend. And knowing the singing has stopped and that something like that will never be witnessed again by myself or by others hurts and leaves a hollow and hopeless feeling in my stomach. And it really seems that like a little part of America has died this morning with my beloved Stepfather. And all of those who have sung, or seen him sing with his Friends through the years will understand. They don't make Men like Tim anymore and haven't for some time.
