William Joseph Hayden

William Joseph Hayden, age 87, of Elmhurst and formerly of Chicago and numerous suburbs in Illinois, passed away May 20, 2023. Born on February 13, 1936, in East Wall, Dublin, Ireland to the late William Hayden and the late Mary Hayden (nee Mitchell). He is survived by his beloved wife of almost 30 years, Marianna Hayden (nee Izydorczyk) and cherished son, Jack Hayden. Dear brother to the late Charles, the late John, the late May, and the late Kathleen Byrne. William was a veteran of the United States Army and proudly served his country in the years following the Korean War. He was a longtime member of the local International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers in his work as a lineman. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, May 25, 2023, at 10 am at Visitation Catholic Church, 779 S. York St., Elmhurst, IL 60126. Interment to follow at Bronswood Cemetery, Oak Brook, IL.
