Marlin John DIILLS JR.

1987 ­ 2006

A visitation for Marlin John Dills Jr., age 18, will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 19, 2006 from 4-8 p.m. at Oroville Funeral Home, 1454 Montgomery St., Oroville. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 20, 2006, at 10 a.m., also at Oroville Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery in Oroville, Calif.

Marlin was born in Washington on Nov. 24, 1987. Marlin passed away on September 6, 2006 in Oroville.

Marlin was very athletic and played football for PV Vikings and Chico Jaguars. Marlin had been a resident of Rock Creek Home in Chico.

Marlin enjoyed working on bikes, riding dirt bikes, and fishing. He had a great compassion for kids and had an infectious smile that allowed him to influence others, including his lady friends. Marlin belonged to the Friday Night Live Club. He was hard working, well mannered and truly loved his grandma Charlotte, his dad and Uncle Tom Grundy.

Marlin is survived by his father Marlin J. Dills Sr. of Oroville; his mother Jean Watson of Washington; grandparents Charlotte and William Perkins of Oroville and James A. Dills Sr., Steve and Joey Moberly all of Washington. He is also survived by three sisters, three uncles, and one aunt.

Arrangements are under the care of Oroville Funeral Home ­ 533-0323.

i am truly sorry. i went to school with john and became very good friends with him. he was in the same group home as my boyfriend at the time. i did not even know this happened untill like 4 days ago. he will be truly missed and we are thinking of you
