John Raymond Obituary
CHILLICOTHE: John F. Raymond, Sr., 90, of Chillicothe, Ohio passed away November 24, 2014 at Adena Medical Center, Chillicothe, Ohio.
John was born February 12, 1924 in Chillicothe, Ohio to Clinton Gail and Bessie M. Raymond. He was a US Navy Veteran during WWII and the Korean Conflict.
Surviving are his sons, John F. (Roberta) Raymond Jr. of Chillicothe, Tommy Lee (Karen Parsons) Raymond of Chillicothe, and Frank (Judy) Raymond of Laurelville; step-daughter, Shirley Meyers of Columbus; and step-son, Larry (Judy) Powers of Logan; brother, Joe Raymond of California; sister Mary Matthews of Dayton; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
John was preceded in death by his wife, Frances M. Raymond, who passed away on October 8, 2007; sister, Nellie Yaple; and brother, Richard "Dick" Raymond.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, November 29, 2014 at the Heinlein-Brown Funeral Home, Logan, Ohio with Aaron Hines officiating. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery, Logan, Ohio, where Military Graveside services will be conducted by the Hocking County Honor Guard. Calling hours will be observed Saturday, November 29, 2014 from 1:00 pm to time of service.

John and his family were part of our extended Lake Erie family. They kept me on the right road growing up. Now 20 years later and I still think about all of you often! Prayers to a wonderful family. Now John and my dad (Cherokee) can exchange fishing stories together. I bet it was a great reunion. Love you all.
