Zachary Farmer Obituary
WAVERLY: Zachary David Farmer. 21, of Prosperity Road, Waverly, Ohio died 7:57 a.m. Tuesday 4 August 2015 at Ohio State University Hospital, Columbus, Ohio.
He was born 27 July 1994 in Georgetown, Ohio the son of Larry J Farmer and Tammy M. (Brumley) Farmer of Piketon, Ohio. On 19 July 2015 Zach was united in Marriage to Kelsie B. (Mays) Farmer, who survives.
Also surviving are a brother, Matthew Stout of Manchester, Ohio; four sisters, Joni Hudson and husband Jerry of Otway, Ohio, Andrea Farmer of Piketon, Natalie Farmer, Waverly and Terra Allison of Piketon; paternal grandparents, Tom and Lola Farmer, Piketon, father and mother-in law, Bill and Megan Mays of Waverly and sister-in-law, Samantha Ward and husband Jairus of Piketon.
Zach was a graduate of Piketon High School, Class of 2013 and an Ohio State University Student Athlete.
Private Funeral Services will be held at the convenience of the family with Pastor Norman "Bud" Brabson, officiating. Burial will be in Mound Cemetery, Piketon, Ohio. Zach's family will receive friends at the Piketon High School Gymnasium from 1:00 - 4:00 p.m. Saturday, 8 August 2015 with Pastor Norman "Bud" Brabson, Speaking at 4:00 p.m.
Arrangements are under the direction of the HOWE WHEELER BOYER HORNBACK FUNERAL HOME, Piketon,

Larry and Family,
Our prayers are with you all. I absolutely enjoyed watching Zach play ball for our summer team; he had such a great perspective. We all know he was a great athlete, but I equally loved his demeanor and what a fantastic teammate he was. It brings a smile to my face thinking of him running barefoot in the outfield to get his work in after he pitched...barefoot! I love sharing Zach Farmer stories with my friends!

Although I didn't know Zach, I know he was such an inspiration and great role model to many ball players in the area. I have been praying for all of you since I heard his leukemia had returned, and will continue to pray for strength and comfort for all of you. Zach was a very strong and courageous young man with a big heart. He always had a smile on his face. He will be greatly missed. I have been best friends with his mother for the past ten years and have heard about and seen his love for sports and watched him grow into an admired athlete and person. Every time His mom and dad have talked about him I could just see their face light up with pride and love.
