Charles Strider Obituary

Reverend Charles H. Strider, 84, Beverly Hills, died Thursday, November 26, 2009, at Hospice of Citrus County House in Lecanto. Reverend Strider was born on January 22, 1925, in Columbus, Ohio and moved to this area 30 years ago from New York. He served our country in both the Army and Air Force. A man who loved Our Lord, he has served as a minister for the House of Power for over 40 years.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Gloria Strider, and many wonderful church friends.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Sat., Dec 5th, at 11:00 A.M. at the House of Power Church, 7233 N. Lecanto Hwy., Hernando, with Pastor George Dehn officiating. Inurnment will take place at a later date at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Florida. Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Charles Strider became a great man. Along with everyone else, we have a past that may not be worth remembering, but thank God he had a future. We loved him.

To Pastor Dehn and The House of Power Church:

Thank You Pastor Dehn and those members that helped take care of my grandfather until his departure from this world to his heavenly father. Myself and my sisters Mellanese, Tonya, Carmen and Schnequia Strider all of Columbus, Ohio appreciate your kindness that you showed in this time to him and his wife. We weren't able to be there, but granddad knew he was loved was loved by his grandchildren. He also leaves behind here, 13 Great-grand children and 12 great-great grandchildren.

He will be missed! God Bless you all!
