Richard Kiley Obituary
Richard Lee Kiley Sr., 85 of Lebanon, Ohio, passed away peacefully on November 5, 2017 with his family at his side. Born in Cincinnati, OH, son to the late Lee and Margaret (nee Sullivan) Kiley. He married Beverly Catherine (nee Hebestreit) on January 26, 1957. Together, they raised 16 children. Richard graduated from Purcell high school 1950, Xavier University 1954, held an undergraduate and Master's in Education, worked for Cincinnati Public Schools for 41 years, was a past president of the Cincinnati Teacher's Union, and was also a 4th degree knight with Knights of Columbus. Survived by children; Richard(Jackie) Jr., Chris(Barb), Mike(Julie), Tim, Ken(Lori), Doug(Liz), Steve(Kim), David(Lisa), Suzanne, Joe(Marie), Dan(Katherine), Kathleen, Paul(Margaux), Andrew(Matt Knotts), Phil(Wendy), Mary(Jon) Thompson, 46 grandchildren and great grandchildren. Richard was preceded in death by Beverly Kiley, his loving wife of nearly 60 years, and siblings Robert, James, Mary, Virginia, and Julianne. Visitation Sunday, November 12, from 3-5PM at Spring Grove Funeral Home, Clifton Chapel, 3464 Central Parkway. Mass of Christian Burial Monday, November 13, 9AM at St. Mary's Parish 2853 Erie Ave. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.

I remember Mr.Kiley very well from Central/Courter Tech...He was always willing to help and as a book worm it was awesome.....

Danny and I met Richard at St. Francis De Sales. He knew my husband for years back in Cincinnati Ohio. He was a wonderful man who was kind and gentle. He loved to talk about the old days and Danny and him would laugh and enjoy passing memories back and forth. What I loved most about him was his faith. it was very strong and he loved God so much. I will always remember him sitting at the same place in front of us at mass doing his rosary when we came in. May God bless him and his family for all the love and faith he has given of himself.
