SAUER
Thomas G.; Beloved husband of Cherie Lynn (nee Nolte) Sauer for 54 years; Tom was born in Hamilton to the late George P. Sauer and Christine (Voelkel) Sauer; Devoted father of Scott T. Sauer, Carrie Ann Devine, Barton J. (Penny) Sauer and Benton N. (Melissa) Sauer; Dear grandfather of Brooke, Rachel, Christine, Colleen, Kara, Jacob, Emma, Hope and Zachary; Brother of James Sauer, Jacqueline Hinson and the late Patty Louise Sauer; Tom was a member of Mt. Healthy Christian Church where he was an Elder, Board Chairman, Sunday School Teacher, and Bible study leader; past president of the Mt. Healthy High School Band Boosters and also a current member of the Alliance Food Pantry; He served as an elementary school mentor in the Mt. Healthy Public Schools for more than a decade. Tom was a 1959 graduate of the General Motors Institute with a BS in Mechanical Engineering and retired from GM/Fisher Body in 1986; For the past twenty-four years he has worked for Public Service accounting and tax services in Hamilton; Tom and Cherie Lynn were avid travelers with the highlight being a trip to the Holy Land in 1999. Tom left this world to be with the Lord Jesus Thursday, Dec. 13, 2012; Age 75; Residence Mt. Healthy; A Celebration of Life Service will be at Mt. Healthy Christian Church 7717 Harrison Ave. on Saturday, Dec. 22, 2012 at 11 AM; As option to flowers, memorials may be sent to Mt. Healthy Christian Church. Dear Cherie,
I didn't know Tom well in MTTHS because he was an "upper classman" but I thought he was sn outstanding fellow. And that you married him was a reason to think him the best. My thoughts are with you. Best to you and yours.
