Waynesville, NC - Bobby "Bob" Clampitt age 73, passed away on Thursday, June, 23, 2013, surrounded by his family. He was born on March 14, 1940, to the late Robert Clampitt and Flora Mashburn Clampitt Chambers. Bob enjoyed working at the church and helping people. He also enjoyed spending time with his grandsons. Bob was a faithful member of Camp Branch Missionary Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents Bob was preceded in death by his brother, Delmas and also his twin brother, Bill.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 25 years, Helen; one son, Tony Clampitt; one step-son, Steve Donaldson (Annette); one step-daughter, Deborah Mills (Clifford); three grandsons, Austin and Colton Donaldson, and Hunter Mills; one great-granddaughter, Caitlyn Donaldson; and one sister, Shirley Finger (Wayne).

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM on Sunday, June 30, 2013, in the chapel of Garrett Funerals and Cremations with the Reverend Buford Rice and the Reverend Kenny Banks officiating. Burial will follow at Garrett-Hillcrest Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 1-3 PM at the funeral home and at other times at the residence.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital at 262 Danny Thomas Pl. , Memphis, TN 38105 or Shriners Children's Hospital-Greenville at 950 W. Faris Road Greenville, SC 29605.
