Joe Brown Obituary
Asheville - A Memorial Service for Little Joe Brown will be held Saturday, April 28, 2018 at the Asheville Masonic Temple, located at 80 Broadway Street, Asheville, NC from 2pm to 4pm. Little Joe was a local well known radio personality and a native of Avery County, NC. His two favorite sayings over airwaves through the years were, "The Top 7000" because he played whatever music he wanted and did not follow the Program Directors Log and the capital of the world is Cranberry, NC where he was born and raised.
The family would like to invite anyone who has a special memories of our Father to please come and share them with us. We want to celebrate his life and legacy.

EVERY SUNDAY MORNING MY FATHER LISTENED TO THE GOSPEL HOUR0106.7 BLACK MOUNTAIN. ON THE DAY MY FATHER DIED-07/25/2000 LITTLE JOE BROWN DEDICATED TWENTY MINUTES TO MY FATHER. I SHED A LOT OF TEARS AS I LISTENED TO- BEULAH LAND AND OTHER SONGS. NOW I LIVE IN KNOXVILLE TN. I LISTEN TO THE SISTER STATION HEAR. THANKS FOR THE KINDNESS YOU SHOWED A WOMAN FROM THE MOUNTAINS AND HER FATHER.

Little Joe I will never forget the memories I made while you were playing the sound track of my childhood. Music was my escape from the cares of the world and I carried my little transistor radio everywhere. You never let me down..rest in peace dear man.
