Mike Dalton Obituary
Arden - James Michael Dalton, 55, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, May 26, 2014 at his residence, surrounded by his family. He was a loving father and grandfather.
A lifelong resident of Buncombe County, he was a son of the late James Pinkney Dalton and Laura Fish.
Surviving are his soul mate and love of his life, his wife, Teresa Sherlin Dalton of the home; children, Jason Michael Dalton (Kerri) of Cary, Kathleen Dalton of Arden and James Clayton Dalton and fiancee' Tina Bates of Arden; grandchildren, Desiree Dalton, Caleb James Dalton, Hailey Harwood and Clay Harwood; brothers, David Donald Dalton (Kristen) of Greeneville, TN; nieces and nephews, Gregory Sherlin, Melissa Diane Dalton, Patrick Sterling David Dalton and Felicia Sherlin.
Memorial services will be held at 12 Noon Saturday, May 31, 2014 in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home with Rev. Keith Sherlin and David Dalton officiating.
The family will receive friends from 11 to 12 prior to services at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to American Diabetes Association, PO Box 11454, Alexandria, VA 22312.

Teresa and family, Mike was a really good person with a big heart and a kind soul. I really enjoyed getting to know him and treating him over the years. My staff and I will really miss him. Our thoughts and our prayers go out to you and your family at this time.
