Anthony A. Wren, 51, of Wilkes-Barre, passed away Thursday, Sept. 28, 2023, in Wilkes-Barre General Hospital following a brief illness.
Born in Wilkes-Barre on March 19, 1972, he was the son of the late Robert T. Wren and Rose Ann Walitis Wren.
Anthony attended school in the Wilkes-Barre Area School District. He worked with his father as a steeplejack for many years. His last employment was with McCarthy Tire Service, Wilkes-Barre.
Anthony was preceded in death by his parents, Robert T. and Rose Ann Walitis Wren; sisters, Diana Wren, Betty Jeanne Sincavage and Karen Krolikowski; and fiancé, Susan M. Pappas.
Surviving are his daughter, Sierra Rose Wren; granddaughter, Willow Grace Sosnoski; siblings, John (Mary) Wren, Robert (Ruth Ann) Wren, Deborah (Harrison) Gibson, Shirley Kogoy and Tina Tkach.
There will be no services.
Cremation is being handled by Cremation Specialist of PA, Wilkes-Barre.

Tony and I were friends for a year or so, and I have to say I've never met a man so fearless in the face of all the difficulty life brings, and so capable of working through pain and disappointment. He loved his family more than I can tell you.

I haven't seen Tony since childhood, what he was always a nice kid and fellow pirate coached by my dad, Bob Bellies Senior. He was a good east ender as well. Rest in peace Tony. my condolences to your family.
