Harolyn Hertz Thomas passed away on Friday, July 9 in Fort Pierce, Florida. She suffered significant injuries after being struck by a car as a pedestrian on July 7. She was a longtime mahjong player and had just finished her game when the tragic accident occurred. She was 84.
Harolyn was born in Wilkes-Barre, the daughter of Max and Pauline Hertz, of blessed memory. She lived most of her adult life in Florida.
Harolyn is survived by her five children: Cindy Herbst (Bernard), Brian Fischer, Brett Fischer (Michelle), Tammy Finsterbusch and Craig Fischer (Raquel). She is also survived by her nine grandchildren. Her sister, Beverly Hertz, lives in Wilkes-Barre. Harolyn's husband, Ted Thomas, preceded her in death.
Harolyn will be buried in Florida.
