Phyllis Passetti Obituary
Phyllis Passetti, 74, of Nanticoke, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Dec. 12, 2023, at Lakewood Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center.
Born May 4, 1949, in Plymouth Twp., she was the daughter of the late John Kasmer and Anna Paziniak Kasmer. Phyllis was a graduate of Nanticoke High School.
Prior to her retirement, Phyllis had been employed by the Social Security Administration as a program analyst, and a supervisor for many years.
In the past, Phyllis enjoyed vacationing at the shore and at Disney World with her husband and daughter. She loved gardening and tending to her flowers. In more recent years, spending time with her granddaughter was what brought her the greatest joy.
Surviving are her loving husband of 48 years, Michael; daughter, Gina Passetti, Nanticoke; granddaughter, Everly Makarczyk; sisters, Mildred Lohenitz, Mount Airy, Md.; and Roseann Figlar, Bridgeport, Conn.; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Tuesday from S.J. Grontkowski Funeral Home, 530 W. Main St., Plymouth.
Family and friends may call from 2 to to service time.
In lieu of flowers, contributions, if desired, may be made to Medical Oncology Associates RX Fund, 382 Pierce St., Kingston, PA 18704; or the Hospice Help Foundation, 400 Little Harbor Road #1105, Portsmouth, NH 03801.

I am so shocked to see that Phyllis passed away. I remember her from working at Social Security at the VA Building. Phyllis and I graduated from Greater Nanticoke Area HIgh School. She in 1967 and I graduated in 1970. If I remember right think her husband Michael lived on my street E. Washington St. when he was young.
I always remember how pretty Phyllis was. Beautiful eyes!
