Barbara Rapoza

Barbara Rapoza, 66, of Osage City, left this world on November 30, 2012 at Stormont-Vail Hospital. She was born on July 18, 1946 in Quinter, Kansas, the eldest daughter of George August and Edna Marie (Scheck) Knoll. Barbara was a homemaker. She enjoyed reading, especially the Bible, doing crossword puzzles, playing cards, knitting, crocheting and cooking. Barbara was a loving wife, sister and most of all a loving mother. She married Edward Junior Rapoza in Topeka. He survives. She is also survived by her children, Kevin, Marla, Michelle and Theresa, her stepchildren, Buddy, Chad and Renee, a sister, Mary Ortega, and a brother, George Knoll. She was also a loving grandmother to 11 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. She will be missed immensely. She will lie in state after 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home, where the family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. and a Parish Rosary will be prayed at 5:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday at 10:00 a.m. at Mater Dei Assumption Church at S.W. 8th and Jackson in Topeka. Interment will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
