Morton
Mr. David Burton French, age 87 went home to eternal glory, October 23, 2017. Visitation was held Tuesday, October 24, 2017 from 5:00 until 7:45 pm at the Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Morton, MS. Funeral service was held at 11:00 am Wednesday, October 25, 2017 from the Chapel of Ott and Lee in Morton with burial at the Morton Memorial Gardens following the service.
Mr. French was born to his parents Presley Earl and Ruby Hutchison French in Byram, MS on December 8, 1929. He worked for the Illinois Central Railroad for forty-one years. He was an alderman for sixteen years for the City of Morton. He was a member of the Morton United Methodist Church and served as Superintendent, and many other positions in the church.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Presley and Ruby French; and three siblings. He is survived by his wife, Christine Keyes French; his children, David L. (Rita Harrell) French of Morton, MS and Linda F. (Ricky D.) Hatch of Crossett, AR; his four grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren.
