Kay Shelton, age 74, died on Thursday, April 5, 2012. Kay was born in 1937 in Jackson, TN to Dorothy and Leslie Shelton, Sr. She was raised in McComb, MS, Houston, TX, and lived in Jackson, MS since 1952. She graduated from Central High School in 1955 and attended Millsaps College. Kay retired from Deposit Guaranty National Bank in 1998 after 28 years . She was a Loan Servicing Officer. She was a member of Broadmeadow United Methodist Church where she served as Church Treasurer and was on the Finance and Administration Board. She was preceded in death by her parents Leslie W. and Dorothy Shelton, Sr., and brother and sister-in-law Leslie W. and Dwight Shelton, Jr. Kay is survived by nephews Leslie W. Shelton III (Ann), Robert F. Shelton (Heather), niece Elizabeth Roddy ( John), grandnephews Robert II, John Michael, and Matthew, grandnieces Katherine, Christine, Haley, and Emory, many friends and church friends. Kay also leaves two very special friends Raphael Winsley and Chris Evans. Graveside services will be Monday, April 9, 2012 at 10am at Lakewood Memorial Park, 6011 Clinton Blvd., Jackson, MS, 39209. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Broadmeadow United Methodist Church in Kay Shelton's honor.

I remember Kay -- She was a great friend of my aunt. They worked together for years at DGNB. She was so much fun to be around -- witty & fun loving. That's how I will remember her.
