Thomas Wesley Pope
ROSEBORO — Mr. Thomas Wesley Pope, 59, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, May 20, 2022 at his home.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 25, at Peniel Pentecostal Holiness Church Cemetery with the Rev. Jesse Blalock officiating.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday evening at Butler Funeral Home in Roseboro.
Mr. Pope was a native of Sampson County, the son of Kenneth "Buddy" and Idella Sessoms Pope. He was an account manager for the C.R. England Company.
He is survived by his wife, Rita Long Pope of the home; son, SSgt. Thomas Wesley Pope, II and wife, Haley Beasley of Seymour Johnson AFB, Goldsboro; daughter, Victoria (Tori) Pope Johnson and husband, Richard of Autryville; two step-sons, Nathan Lee Long of Naples, FL and Matthew Nash Long and wife, Hiromi Kahuda of Kamakura, Japan; step-daughter, Laura A. Long of Stedman; grandchildren, Aubree and Lilith Pope, Tennyson Johnson, Ela Branson Long and Noah Kahuda Long; parents, Kenneth "Buddy" and Idella Sessoms Pope of Roseboro; brother, Thomas Kenneth Pope and Betty of Roseboro; two sisters, Della Pope Sessoms and husband, Randy of Roseboro and Wanda Pope Edwards of Roseboro.
Services entrusted to Butler Funeral Home, 401 W. Roseboro St., Roseboro, NC.
