Maxine Bell Obituary
A resident of Hinesville for the past 17 years and a longtime resident of Boston, Massachusetts, Maxine was born in Prince Edward Island, Canada on June 19, 1936 to the late Joseph and Helena Lannigan. As a child, she loved ice skating and playing hockey with her friends. In 1962, she married Joe Bell and the two moved to Boston shortly thereafter. While in Boston, she worked for over 30 years at New England Memorial Hospital, also known as Boston Regional Medical center as a communications specialist operating the switchboard. Her love of family led her to Hinesville in 2001 where she volunteered countless hours at Liberty Regional Medical Center. Maxine will always be remembered for her love of family and friends and her spunky and outgoing personality.
In addition to her parents, her brothers, Harold and Vincent Lannigan, preceded her in death.
Survivors include her daughter, Julie Bell and husband, Tim Brown; two granddaughters, Shayna Maxine Brown and Fallon Marie Brown and brothers and sisters, Joan Llewellyn, Jack Lannigan, Arthur Lannigan, Jospeh Lannigan, Jr., and Larry Lannigan. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family members also survive.
Private memorial services will be held at a later date.
