Diane Jeanne Chew Hansen

DIANE JEANNE CHEW HANSEN
July 4, 1943 ˜ March 11, 2024

On March 11, 2024, Diane Jeanne Chew Hansen passed away peacefully after a short illness at the age of 80. She was born in San Francisco, CA, on the Fourth of July and grew up in San Francisco, Fresno and Florida. A graduate of Miami High School in 1961, Diane returned to her first hometown where she met her husband, Franklin Lue (deceased). She worked at Pacific Bell, Long’s Drug Store, Montgomery Wards and was an administrative assistant for different companies in the Bay Area. In 1986, Diane married Norm Hansen, and was the love of his life until her last breath.
Diane was a very talented, creative, funny, fun loving and caring angel. She was a devoted daughter to Jimmie and Agnes Eng; a loving mother to Thomas (Didi), Lisa and Lori (Cesar); a great wife to Norm; doting Paw Paw to Chloe, Bryce and Mikayla; a wonderful sister to Diann Fay and Kenneth; a caring mother-in-law to Didi and Cesar; and a dear aunt, cousin and friend to many. Diane had an uncompromising sense of right and wrong, would not take shortcuts, believed in doing everything to the best of her ability, and was caring, honest and “100% loyal and true.” She was a fighter, working diligently on her exercises at home and attending her many therapy sessions. We loved her very much.
The family would like to thank everyone at the PeaceHealth Neurological Rehabilitation Clinic and Ray Hickey Hospice House CNAs and staff for their unending kindness, compassion, professionalism and encouragement. Everyone who helped Diane was amazing and they earned our eternal gratitude. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, please donate to a charity of your choice.
