I just saw that Dr. Jones passed away and I am just broken hearted. I know I am years behind, but I had not seen him since the 1990s. He did surgery on both of my parents, so they called him in desperation when I was at the point of death from a prior surgery elsewhere due to a burst appendix. He saved my life and I will forever be grateful to him for that. He was such a wonderful doctor and a truly caring Christian man. I doubt I will ever meet another doctor who I can trust as much as I trusted Dr. Jones. Please accept my very sincere belated condolences for the loss of your very special loved one. He was truly one of a kind.

In trying to reconnect with my cousin, Clay Jones I was very saddened to learn of his death 5 years ago. the last time we were together was 1959. He went by "Bull" to my brother and me. It is a profound loss to have not found him before his passing. My condolences to his family who I never had the chance to meet.

I am so moved by all the messages to my beloved brother, Clay. He was truly a man of God. He was called to be a physician. He fulfilled his mission on this earth and went on before us to work with those waiting. I will miss him too much as I await my turn to cross over and join him. He left a wonderful legacy in lives saved and souls healed by his love and care. Shan

I just found out yesterday about Dr.Jones passing. He did surgery on me and my mother-in-law.He was the sweetest caring doctor I have ever meet.I will continue to pray for his family

March 29, 2011

Doc was truly an inspiration to work with and a mentor to all nurses by his nurturing guidance. His christian belief was evident in the compassionate way he treated his patients. To know him was to love him ... and when he passed - there became a void. Only the joy in knowing that he is with the Lord and we will see him again stills the pain of loss.
Condolences go out to his family - Shan (the Troll :) and his mother.

My heartfelt sympathy goes out to the family of Dr. Clay Jones. Dr. Jones was truly an amazing Godly man. I didn't know him personally, but in 1999, I had to have emergency surgery and he was my surgeon at Methodist North. I was scared to death and he took the time in pre-op to sit and talk with me and reassure me that everything would be fine, but the most important thing that he did for me that day was to assure me that our Lord would be with him every step of the way during my operation and HE was. I have never forgotten that moment and thank God for Dr. Jones. May God continue to bless his family and many friends.

Sincerely,

James Cason,Jr.

I just learned of Clay's passing about an hour ago (3/21/11)from my Uncle Wallace Cason. I am deeply saddened and my heart goes out to his fine family and especially to my stepmother, his mother, Eloise. Clay gave me my first car in 1975 and I am forever grateful.
If anyone can tell me how to contact Eloise I would appreciate your help.

I was so sad and shocked to learn of the passing of Dr. Jones. My faher was a physician and chose Dr. Jones as his personal surgeon. I will never forget the love and repect he showed my father, even though my dad had been retired for years. It meant so much to my dad. Even more important than being a skilled and gifted surgeon Clay was a fine Christian man who shared his love and trust in God with his patients and families when they needed it most. I celebrate his life and give thanks to God that I was blessed to have known him for many years!

I was saddened to get the word of Clay Jones's passing. I knew Clay from before medical school and enjoyed getting to know him. He was hard working and dedicated to his profession. In addition, he loved the outdoors--something I knew from our trips in the Ozarks and the Rocky Mountains. My sympathies to his family.

Such beautiful words and thoughts of your Dad! I know he loved his family very much and I know you will miss him terribly. Dr. Jones was a very special person who I had the previledge to work for. I believe in God and his word and I know when it is our time to go home we will see him again! Your Dad would want you, Chad and Fran to get busy livin' just like he did.
So sorry for your loss

Dr. Jones was an inspiration to all who came into his sphere of influence. When I was anxious about a diagnosis, he counseled me to read in the book of Matthew. Before my surgery that morning, he held my hand while we prayed together. I will never forget him. He gave me the courage to demonstrate my faith wherever I am.

It is hard to express my feelings, but after reading all of the good words that everybody has said about my daddy, it is helping our family to come to peace, and I thank everybody for there support. Dr. Jones was not only our doctor but a great friend. He did a mastectomy on me in 1999 and surgery on my husband in 2000. He was the most compassionate doctor I have ever met. He will be greatly missed by my family. I know that he is rejoicing with his Lord right now. Thank you to his family for sharing him with us and may the Lord put his loving and protecting arms around each of you.

I had the honor of knowing Dr. Jones before he was anything besides one of the nicest guys in school. He was a super athlete and all-around good guy.

When my husband was referred to him later for surgery, Clay told him he didn't need surgery, he just needed a diet change. That, plus his strong faith in God, ensured him a special place in my heart.

Frances, I can only imagine what you are going through right now. You have been added to our prayer list, and we will continue to pray for God's loving arms to wrap around you and protect and give you peace in the coming months and years.

Love, Candice

Dr. Jones was a wonderful surgeon, but more than that he was fine, Christian man. He loved his patients & cared for them spiritually, as well as physically. He took care of my grandmother Mabel Hadley at Methodist North in 1989, & my family holds him in the highest esteem. I then had the pleasure of working with him on that same floor in later years. He will be so missed here on earth, but I know he is rejoicing in heaven with his Savior. May God grant his family comfort until they meet him again.

I am very saddened to hear of the home going of Dr. Clay. He performed a mastectomy on me in February, 1997. God guided his hands but I attribute Dr. Clay with saving my life. I will never forget when I met him for the very first time on my initial office visit he sent me home with 2 sheets from his prescription pad. One for medicine and the other much more important: Matthew 6:28-29. I knew then that God had led me to the right doctor to take care of me. I cross stitched that verse for him - don't know if he kept it or not but I felt I was able to give something back to him for all that he did for me. I credit Dr. Clay for the 14 years I have lived since that surgery. I have looked at all of the pictures you have included here. Thanks for sharing your family with me. I know he will be greatly missed. Isn't it wonderful to know that we will all be united in heaven one day. May God grant your family that special peace at this difficult time.
Thanks Dr. Clay, I appreciate and love you. Susan Mynatt

Dr. Clay Jones was one of the finest doctors that I have ever met. In 2001, he performed a life saving stomach surgery on my grandmother, who is still with us today at age 93. He comforted us by praying with us after each of her appointments. Dr. Jones became more than just a doctor to our family, he was a true friend. To his family, I hope that you can feel the arms of God surrounding you during this difficult time. Dr. Jones will truly be missed.
