Philip Joyner Obituary
PHILIP A. JOYNER, SR., 72, retired letter carrier, union rep and Army veteran died January 5, 2008. Visitation from 5-7 p.m. January 9 at V.H. Bins & Son. Services at 11 am. January 10 at Mt. Nebo Baptist Church. Burial in West Tennessee Veterans Cemetery. Mr. Joyner is survived by his wife Brenda Eddings-Joyner; two daughters, Patrice Joyner of Memphis and Shara Taylor of Philadelphia, PA; three sons, Philip Joyner Jr., Quentin Joyner, and Cedric Joyner all of Memphis; stepson, Gerald Watts of Georgia; mother, Claudia V. Joyner of Memphis; five sisters, Marjie West of Maryland Dorothy Robinson, Clyde-Ester Crawford, Lois V. Brown, and Williametta Carter; four brothers, Rev. James Joyner, Jr., all of Memphis, Jamil Nasser of New Jersey, Troy Joyner of Memphis, and Charles Joyner of Middleton; and 14 grandchildren. V. H. Words just can't express how sorry we are to hear about Phil. One thing we know for sure... to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. We know God will comfort, keep and strenghthen you in your time of sorrow. Find comfort in knowing that Phil is now playing cards with the angels :)
