Philip Joyner Obituary

PHILIP A. JOYNER, SR., 72, retired letter carrier, union rep and Army veteran died January 5, 2008. Visitation from 5-7 p.m. January 9 at V.H. Bins & Son. Services at 11 am. January 10 at Mt. Nebo Baptist Church. Burial in West Tennessee Veterans Cemetery. Mr. Joyner is survived by his wife Brenda Eddings-Joyner; two daughters, Patrice Joyner of Memphis and Shara Taylor of Philadelphia, PA; three sons, Philip Joyner Jr., Quentin Joyner, and Cedric Joyner all of Memphis; stepson, Gerald Watts of Georgia; mother, Claudia V. Joyner of Memphis; five sisters, Marjie West of Maryland Dorothy Robinson, Clyde-Ester Crawford, Lois V. Brown, and Williametta Carter; four brothers, Rev. James Joyner, Jr., all of Memphis, Jamil Nasser of New Jersey, Troy Joyner of Memphis, and Charles Joyner of Middleton; and 14 grandchildren. V. H. Bins & Son Mid-South Funeral Home901-946-2061
