Lawrence Vass Obituary
Larry joined the Marine Corp. after graduating and married his high school sweetheart, Pat Leone. He earned his bachelors degree from New Hampshire College (SNHU) and had a career as a software engineer. Larry was lucky to retire from BAE at 55. This allowed Pat and Larry to travel to Spain, Italy, Hawaii and enjoy many wonderful cruises with family and friends. They resided in Merrimack, N.H., for 30 years before becoming snowbirds, living in Seabrook, N.H., during the summer and Naples, Fla., in the winter.
Larry enjoyed cycling, kayaking and walking along the beach. He loved his family above all else. He will especially be missed by his daughter, Carolyn Thomson and her husband Doug. Larry's grandchildren, Courtney and husband Matt Turner, Derek and Dylan Thomson were his pride and joy and he was a huge part of their lives. Larry lit up around his two beautiful great-grandchildren, Quinn and Heath Turner.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, September 9, at the Crumpacker Boathouse at St. Paul's School, 300 Dunbarton Road in Concord, N.H., at 2 p.m.

AS I PUT TOGETHER THE CLASS OF 1959 REUNION 65 YEARS....I FIND LARRY HAS PASSED.....DIDN'T KNOW IT....BUT DO NOW.....HE WILL BE JOINED IN OUR REUNION PRAYERS THIS OCTOBER 19, 2024.....AT OUR 65TH ALONG WITH OTHERS....

We are sending love and hugs to you all for the loss of your Dad, Father in Law and Grandfather. Larry was such a great guy and such a pleasure to be around. He and Pat were the sweetest and kindest people and always took an interest in your friends when we were all together. Their love for each other was so evident to all. How lucky were they to have such a great romance through life. We are lucky to have known both of your parents Carolyn. Thank you for sharing them with all of us. Carolyn, Doug, Derek, Courtney, Dylan and Matt,
I know that this is very difficult time right now but I pray that as time passes, and all of you share your memories of your Dad and Mom/grandparents that they bring smiles to your faces.
Writing them down and reading them at some other time I have found to be helpful! I hope this will bring some laughter to wash away some of your tears. You have 2 very special Guardian Angels (among many others) watching over all of you with so much love and pride! May they send you some signs to help to comfort you and make you smile, especially on those days when you need it most!
