Timothy "Tim" Reidsema
Canterbury , NH - Timothy Reidsema (61) of Canterbury NH, went home to be with the Lord on June 14th, 2024, with his wife and family by his side, after a courageous 2-Year battle with Glioblastoma.
Tim is survived by his wife of 34 years, Rosemarie (Musumeci) Reidsema, his stepsons Jonathan Bardwell, Charles Bardwell & his wife Erika, his grandson, Vinicius Bardwell, his father Russell Reidsema of Navarre Florida, his sisters Margaret Dumadag of Anaheim, California, and Pauline Carr of Pensacola, Florida. His sisters and brother-in-law's Rebecca, Theresa, James Musumeci of Concord, and Joseph Musumeci Jr, of Burlington Vermont. He is Papa to many others, and many, many nieces and nephews. He is pre-deceased by his mother Cynthia (Fuller) Deoss, his stepmother, Nancy Reidsema, his mother and father-in-law Joseph Musumeci and Evelyn Beaubien (Musumeci).
Tim was born in Colorado springs, Colorado, on May 13th, 1963 to Russell and Cynthia (Fuller) Reidsema. He graduated from Lewis Palmer H S, where he was on the wrestling and soccer teams.
After graduating high school, he moved to Concord, NH , where he met his wife, and became a stepfather to her two sons. He worked for Landforms LTD , where he enjoyed building walls, walkways and outdoor living spaces. He was also a heavy equipment operator. He played for a time with a Concord Centaurs soccer team, and coached a Loudon children's soccer team for his stepsons.
Tim received his Associate's Degree in nursing and was also a member of the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society.
Tim had a love for life, enjoyed visiting family in California and Florida, going on men's retreats and fishing trips with his father. Tim also loved spending time at the family vacation home on Bailey's island of Maine. He loved mentoring people, and he was famous for his great big bear hugs, his full mustache, big, beautiful smile, and contagious laugh!
Tim was an avid fisherman, whether it be ice fishing, or deep sea fishing. hunting, training his dogs to be bird hunters, teaching his grandson how to hunt, and enjoyed his yearly hunting trip up north with his good and long-time friend, Mike Faretra, and other great friends.
After moving to Canterbury, you would often see him mowing his lawn (which he was very proud of!) playing with his dogs, or working in his vegetable gardens with his wife and grandson. He was always happy to share his vegetables with friends and neighbors!
Tim went on two mission trips to Leyte Philippines, where he helped rebuild homes and churches devastated by a hurricane in 2015, -2016. He taught the word of God and shared the gospel. He also went on a mission trip to New York City, where he ministered to people experiencing homelessness and poverty and shared the Gospel of Jesus.
Tim was a very proud Papa, teaching his grandson about gardening, mowing the lawn, riding the four-wheeler, hunting, fishing, and also teaching him the word of God. They enjoyed each other's company immensely.
Tim's celebration of Life service will be held at Grace Capitol Church on Saturday, July 27th, at 11:00. a.m.. Tim requests ALL TO PLEASE WEAR BRIGHT COLORS!!
