Claire McFarland Obituary
AGE: 86 • Ocean City
Claire D. McFarland, 86, a longtime resident of Ocean City, NJ, passed away peacefully on May 25, 2013. After a fulfilling career with the Pennsylvania Public School System in Philadelphia, Claire retired to the shore in 1987, moving from Cinnaminson, NJ. She was an avid card and tournament bridge player, enjoyed travel, swimming, and spending time with friends at Ocean City's Senior Center, and more recently, at The Shores at Wesley Manor.
Interment at Forest Hills Cemetery, Philadelphia. Graveside service, Monday, June 3 at 11am. Arrangements by Godfrey Funeral Home, Ocean City. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Howard Stainton Senior Center, 1735 Simpson Ave., Ocean City, NJ 08226.

Claire- "Our Girlfriend" We will miss you so much especially during the summer and at the holidays. I am glad I got to see you and spend the day with you in February. You were so good to my Dad and my family and when I see a bird or take a swim in the ocean or play cards I will think of you and my Dad together again and I will smile. Take care my good friend. Alison, John, Stephanie, Grace, Jane and Tucker.

Claire, I will miss you dearly. I always liked having our conversations at the bank. I always thought of you living alone and wanting to come visit. I'm sorry Hurricane Sandy took such a toll on you.
