Jack Fichter Obituary

On March 22 2004 in the Pitman Manor Healthcare Pitman NJ. Age 77 years of Pitman NJ formerly of Haddon Township NJ.
Beloved and devoted husband of Donna M. (nee Aldrich) Fichter. Loving father of Bruce R. Grob of JacksonvilleFL James V. Grob of Pitman NJ Jack H. Fichter Jr. of Cape May NJ and Sandra A. Grob of Mystic Island NJ; also survived by his grandchildren Nicole Erik and Jordan; also his sister Joyce Smith of Cape May N.J.
Mr. Fichter had served our country during World War II as a Private First Class in the United States Army with the 158th Combat Artillery Unit. He was an Honorary Historian for Pennsauken and the author of three books regarding the history of Pennsauken.Mr. Fichter was an active member of the Pennsauken Historical Society and the Griffith Morgan Committee in Pennsauken NJ. He was a school teacher for 30 years with the Pennsauken Board of Education - with Historyas Jack's main interest.Mr. Fichter enjoyed spending time with his family and developing word games for the kids.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Memorial Service on Thursday March 25 2004 at 11:30 a.m. in the Pitman Manor 535 North Oak Avenue Pitman NJ. Interment will be held privately in the Bethel Cemetery Pennsuaken NJ. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in Jack's name are requested forwarded to the Pitman Manor Fellowship Fund at the above mentioned address or to Griffith Morgan Committee PO Box 522 Pennsauken NJ 08110 (arrangements are under the direction of the HAINES FUNERAL HOME Pitman NJ).
