Still missing your infectious warm smile. Remembering you always! Cynthia Chambers

A Reason, A Season, or A Lifetime...?
I think the REASON I met you was to fill a void in my life.
Just as the poem reads, “When someone is in your life for a REASON, it is usually to meet a need you have expressed outwardly or inwardly. They have come to assist you through a difficulty, or to provide you with guidance and support, to aid you physically, emotionally, or even spiritually. They may seem like a Godsend to you, and they are. They are there for a reason, you need them to be.”
This is so true! In 2003, I lost my own grandmother. I instantly missed her…her smile, her voice, her laugh but most of all her sense of humor. Grandma Jenkins, you were a lot like her. You had a wonderful smile, a distinct voice, a contagious laugh and a great sense of humor. Each time I saw you, you always had a funny story to tell or something funny to say. With your passing, I am left with the same feeling of emptiness I felt in 2003. I am left only with the memories of you to keep me laughing and smiling.
On behalf of myself, Tim, Jaida and Sierra, I would like to say that you are irreplaceable. You were an amazing mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother and we miss you dearly. We find comfort in knowing that you are being well taken care of in heaven. We will never forget you and will always be grateful for the times we had with you. Thank you for being a part of our lives…

Grandmom,
It has been a year since you left us. Your love still lives on through all of those who you touched. It is not a day that passes that I do not think about about you or long to pick up the phone and hear your voice on the other end, just one more time. But I hear your voice speak to me when I need someone to talk to. I hear your advice ever so clear and heed to your wisdom.
I miss you more than words can ever say, but I know that you are at peace and having the time of your life with God and all of your friends.
We laugh about all the funny things you use to say and do, that keeps us going.
I love you forever and a day!

Hi Grandmom,
Words cannot express the impact that you have had on my life. You were an awesome woman and I only hope that I can be as kind and sweet as you were to me. I think about you ALL the time and always find myself smiling...the tears don’t seem to come as much, not because I don’t miss you or love you, but because I do love you and I love Jesus and I know He is holding you...That brings me so much peace and joy.
I've loved you since I first laid eyes on you and I will forever love you. I miss you everyday but you've left me with so many wonderful memories.
Grandmom, continue to rest in peace and keep watching over me...
Love your BFG...........Quintet Bryant

If roses grow in heaven,Lord, then pick a bunch for me. Place them in my Mom's
arms and tell her they're from me. Tell her that I love and miss her,
and when she turns to smile, place a kiss upon her cheek and hold her
for a while. Remembering her is easy, I do it ...every day Letting go is the
problem that I work on each and every day.
Loving U and misssing U more.

Grandmom,
As we celebrate your birthday it is bittersweet because you are not here with us. I so wanted to hear your voice on the phone as I said, "Happy Birthday Pretty Girl, and you would say "Thank you, Thank You and quickly remind us how old you were and how glad you were to be alive. It is so hard living without you. I thought each day would get easier, but it is never easy when you loose someone you love so very much. I call to memory now all the things you taught us. All the times we thought you were being mean by not letting us go here and there, but now we know you were only trying to protect us from danger and harm. All the days we spent in church and vacation bible school, has taught us the word of the Lord. Your love for us is and forever will be unconditional. You will never be forgotten, for I talk to you every day. I always find something funny you said or did that makes me smile.
Loving you grandmom!

Happy Birthday, and Mother's day. I love you and miss you. Travis X and I spend hours sharing our thoughts about you. He regrets never having the opportunity to hug your neck. I know God knows best, but we still needed you, you were our safety net. Our family will never be the same without you. I will hold on to the memories I have shared with you over the years, the very special feelings of love you shared. I love you and I miss you.

Mother,
Tomorrow is your birthday, and in a few days it will be Mother's Day my first without you. It will not be easy, for everyday I reach for the phone only to remember that you are not here, but resting in the arms of the Lord. I wanted to say Happy Birthday and let you know that I think of you daily, and that I love you very much, and that I hope I showed it while we were together. I know that one day we will be reunited in the kingdom of our Lord, but until then just know that I love you and your love has kept me through these most difficult days.

I was sitting here thinking about you MomMom and I couldn't help but write you this little note. I'm sorry you're not here with us anymore but it was through your passing that it came to me what family is ALL about. LOVE! Love for one another through the ups and the downs. Love for one another even when we don't see eye to eye. Love for one another even when we feel wronged. Although you have left us your love is still here. I've haven't communicated with so many people for soo many years but through our LOVE for you our family has been in touch. You sacrificed so much of yourself for so many of us I want you to know that we thank you. I Love You and I'm glad I had the chance to tell you that. May Peace Be Unto You!

It has been four months ago MOM since the Lord felt it was time to call you home. I will never forget the Last Sunday when I held you in my arms and rubbing your back to give you some comfort. Not knowing he was preparing you to come home with him.
I miss you mom so much, I find myself talking to you when I am all alone, just like we would do every day.Losing my Mom who was my best friend has left such a emptiness, a big VOID.My faith in knowing where you are and whose you are, allows me to know I will see you again. I know you have your baby brother with you now. Tell Annie, My Dad and uncle Tommy how much they are also missed and Loved.
I am just living on the words that you spoke into me that last Sunday. My Heart double beats for you.
Miss You Mom.Thanks for always watching over me, Your are the Presence of the Angel God Has sent to always protect me. I can feel your presence.
The light of God surrounds ME.
The love of God enfolds ME.
The power of God protects Me.
The presence of God watches over Me.

Grandma,
Words cannot express how much of a great loss we feel now that you have gone home to glory. You were very special to me, and you made me feel special to you as well. We lost a wonderful grandmother; and I also lost my Godmother. There will forever be emptiness in my heart, but it has been replaced with a deep sense of pride, knowing that you are up above watching over and protecting us. God Bless & Keep you, Grandma. We love you and your presence will be greatly missed; however, the value you bestowed upon us will carry on forever. Lovingly submitted, Tracy & Kids.

One of my memories of Aunt May

November 13, 2009
To my extended family...I could not be with you during your time of celebration in the home going of Aunt May, but I am always with you in spirit and prayer. The last time I spoke with Aunt May when she was in Cooper's, she said she wanted to go home. God heard her call and answered her prayer. Do not look at Aunt May's going home as a lose, but a grace and blessing, our God knows who he needs and when he feels the service we were to do here is complete and calls us home to rejoice with him again. I can hear Aunt May saying " It is well, with my soul." Aunt May has left a legacy of memories with us that will carry us through. Live on through memories and the Lord will see us through. Love and miss you all.

My dearest Grandmom...Words cannot express how much you mean to me! You have been the center of my life since I can remember. I have always loved you and you have always loved me...You have always supported me in all that I did. I choose this path in life because I knew it would make you proud. My favorite song is "Never would have made it" by Marvin Sapp. I love this song because it is a direct reflection of how I feel about you...If it had not been for you, I never would have made it. I am and will be forever grateful for the love that you have shown to me and my brothers. I am the woman I am today because of you. You are my heart and my inspiration. I will always remember, love and respect you. I am saddened by your body not being here but I am loving that your spirit is still with me. Jesus has you and I understand that. Always remember that I always loved you as you always loved me! Please Rest in Peace and I shall see you soon. I can’t wait until I can hug you again! Love Quintet Tenise Bryant, your #1 FAN!

Diane, Helen,Gerry, and Family,
With heartfelt sympathy and caring in the loss of your mother, grandmother, . . . friend. To God be the Glory for a life well-lived. Ms. Lillie was a hardworking woman who demonstrated agape love for family, friends, and acquaintances. God blessed her with a long, full life--rich with family which she dedicated to you and her service to the Lord. From my childhood, I can remember that she was a faithful member of NMBC. I also maintain a visual of her walking home from the bus stop usually with bags in both hands and when she passed by my door, she always had a kind word and a smile. Some things we never forget. Throughout my adult years we loss touch until 2006. At that time, she was so excited to tell me about the wonderful surprise 85th Birthday Party and how you blessed her heart.
Be encouraged and strengthened by the love she had for you and her reference for the Lord. During this time of sadness and grief, God is with you. "Blessed are they that mourn; for they shall be comforted." Matt. 5:4. Know that she is at rest with the Lord. As it is written, "We are confident, I say and willing rather to be absent from the body and to be present with the Lord." 2Cor. 5:8.

Mom you are so missed, oh how much I love you. I miss you talking about me always shopping at the mall, and our conversations on the phone. I miss your smile, your laugh and your love. I always think of what your grandson Tyler said, don't be sad it's ok, grandmon Lillie is gone to Heaven with God and he is going to make her over. He was so right, and comforting for a 4 year old boy. You are now an Angel in Heaven, cooking sweet potatoe pies. Rest mother, and I will see you again someday.

Grandmom,
We love and miss you so much. But we know that you are safe in the arms of Jesus. You equipped us with everything we need , to survive.
Your love for people and the Lord will live on through us. For all of the lessons and tough love, we thank you. We thank the Lord for allowing you to be here with us for as long as you were. He was missing his angel and said it was time. I know, as the gates of Heaven swung open, He said welcome, my good and faithful servant. As he opened his arms, you begin to grin, and was so delighted to finally see his face. What a wonderful time I know that was. Like you use to always sing around the house " When all of God's children get to Heaven, what a time, what a time, what a time" We miss you, but know there is no better place than with Jesus. I know you are in the heavenly choir and you all are singing "I cried my last tear yesterday" (smile) Rest in the masters arms Grandmom (mom). Love Lesha.
