Lupe Romero Obituary
August 19, 1944 - October 24, 2016
Lupe (Peter) Romero was born on August 19, 1944 to Joe T. (Willie) and Lupe Barajas in Merced, CA. She passed away on October 24, 2016 in Turlock, CA at the age of 72 while surrounded by loved ones.
Lupe is survived by her children; Mark (Carol) Romero of Atwater, CA, Christina (Joe) Gonella, Suzanne (Edroy) Cancino, Eric (Michelle) Romero and Sean Romero all of Merced, CA, her siblings Benjamin (Eve) Barajas of South Bend, IN, Ruben (Dolores) Barajas of Poway, CA, Joe T. (Rose) Barajas Jr., Josephine Rangel, Jennie (Raymond) Miranda and Monica Barajas all of Merced, CA. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren whom all adored their Nonie.
Lupe is preceded in death by her loving parents, Joe T. (Willie) and Lupe Barajas, sister Beatrice Hernandez and brother Richard Barajas Sr.
Lupe loved to spend time with all of her family and enjoyed the memories she created with them during the many camping trips they took over the years. She also enjoyed spending time with her sisters doing what sisters do best hanging out together, watching movies and going to the casino. Lupe had a great love for her family but held a special place in her heart for all of the babies who brought her such joy. She loved dearly and was dearly loved and she will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, October 29, 2016 from 1:00-4:00 PM in the Multi-Purpose room at Pioneer Elementary School, 2950 Gerard Avenue, Merced, CA.

My condolences to all the family. She was a family friend.I will always remember how she came to help me (along with her sister Josie) when My son-in law passed away 6 months ago. She and Josie cleaned the hall kitchen for me. I am very grateful. Who knew I would be helping in the same capacity months later. She will be missed.
