Uncle Bill lived with us for awhile when I was little and shared the closet in my bedroom. One day I got into a jar of Vaseline and managed to rub it all over my hair and the closet door - narrowly missing his ties that were hanging on the inside of the door! He didn't get mad - but he did take a photo of me with my hair sticking out on the top of my head that will haunt me forever! We could always count on him to pick up donuts when he went to get the paper on Sunday mornings and he didn't just resemble Napolean Solo-he WAS Napolean Solo! (That truth can be told now.) I'll never forget his warped, I mean warm, sense of humor or how much fun he was to be around. We'll miss you Uncle Bill. We love you. Marjie (Niece)

So sorry to hear he's gone. He was my teacher for history and economics at Blackwood Jr. High for two years in the early 60's. He also taught my daughter Kate at Glenn Landing. He'll always be remembered as one of the "good" teachers.

Mr. Stackhouse, I was one of your students at Glen Landing. You were my favorite teacher during my tenure at Glen Landing. You touched the hearts of so many. I will always remember your "Tidbits of the Day". I have fond memories of those times so long ago. Thank you for all the skills you had taught us. I will carry those with me forever. Rest in Peace Mr. Stackhouse. Joyce Bragg (Media, PA)

He was one of my favorite teachers and I didn't have many I liked. We all thought he resembled Napoleon Solo the Man from UNCLE. He was my eighth Grade Teacher at Gloucester Township Junior High School, in Blackwood, N.J., he was my teacher the day John F. Kennedy was assassinated , I remember sitting next to Sandy Mertz and Terry Blanzol that year. It was the last great year I had in School.
