Brian Keith Ricketts

Evansville - Brian Keith Ricketts, 50, of Evansville, passed away January 27, 2021. He was born September 30, 1970 to Karen and Fred Ricketts, Sr., of Newburgh, IN.

Brian graduated from Central High School. He received a Bachelor's degree in English from USI. Brian enjoyed writing poetry, playing the guitar, and photography. He loved the weekends that he spent with his son and family holidays.

Brian is survived by his son, Jonah Weikkamp, of Evansville; his parents, Karen and Fred Ricketts, Sr., of Newburgh; brothers, Fred (Julie) Ricketts, Jr., of Liberty Township, OH and Wayne (Michele) Ricketts, of Evansville; niece, Sydney Ricketts; nephews, Bradley Ricketts and Finley Ricketts; aunts, Brenda Embry and Connie (Bill) Spaulding.

Brian was preceded in death by his brother, Christopher Ricketts.

Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., Monday, February 1, 2021 at Ziemer Funeral Home Central Chapel, 626 N. First Avenue. A private funeral service for the family will begin at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Reverend Tom Hubachek officiating.

Burial will follow at Locust Hill Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Evansville Rescue Mission, 500 E. Walnut St., Evansville, IN 47713 or Easter Seals Rehabilitation, 3701 Bellemeade Ave., Evansville, IN 47714.
