James Voges Obituary
Tell City - James E. "Jim" Voges, 82, passed away Wednesday June 16, 2021 at his home.
He was born on December 7, 1938 in Tell City to the late Hubert J. and Agnes (Evrard) Voges. He married Patricia "Pat" Jarboe on April 27, 1963 who preceded him in death. Jim was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and was a lifelong carpenter. He was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing and woodworking.
Surviving are his children, Hubert Voges of Booneville, IN, Brian (Bonnie) Voges of Phoenix, AZ, Jamie (Patty) and Tina Voges both of Evansville, IN, Ed (Deb) Voges of Omaha, NE, Danny (Phil) Voges of St. Louis, MO, Bernie (Katie) Voges of Monrovia, IN; sisters, Sr. Jeanne Voges of Beech Grove, IN, Kathryn Louise "Kathy" Peabody, Dallas,TX; a brother Hubert "Junie" Voges of Tell City, IN.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his siblings, Fr. Bernard Voges, Alice Wahl, Alberta Vieck, Kaye Etienne, David Voges. and a daughter-in-law, Shelley Voges.
Services will be at 10:00am Monday June 21, 2021 at St. Paul Catholic Church with burial in St. Mary Catholic Cemetery with American Legion Honors..
Visitation will be from 2:00pm to 6:00pm Sunday and from 8:30am to 9:30am at Zoercher-Gillick Funeral Home.
Memorial donations may be made to Heart to Heart Hospice or the National Wildlife Federation.
