This is a late entry... I just want to say, as you all know for yourselves, Jeanette is just so missed...! Sometimes it takes a while, after a death, to recognize how much you miss someone, and how important she or he was to your life... I'm the oldest in my family, and was the first little girl grandchild on the O'Daniel side (Roger came first...). Jeanette was not quite 7, but we sort of "grew up together" in a sense. When old enough, I'm sure she babysat me on occasions, and I remember her taking me out shopping for my parents' Christmas presents--once, anyway. And maybe both of us remembered that "once" because of the unusual gift I insisted on getting for Mother--a mouse trap! I just knew that Mother said she wanted one, and I wanted to get her what she wanted... We even joked about that the day of Mark's final service, when Martha, Jeanette, Jill and I had brunch at the Country Kitchen (?).
I look at the photo of her on this guest book, and over her casket and see so much!--the little "twinkle" that was ever ready in the background (see how the photo shows a darker image on the left face for those special little uniquenesses, so they could sort of "surprise" us with her wit, wisdom, etc.)--and she was so very wise!, and subtly witty... and many other things I didn't know much of, like her donation of service to several places. I DID know her love for each of you, however, and I'm guessing that somehow she'll find a way to "be there" for each of you when you need her. How clever and loving of her to write out all of her last wishes and even arrangements with Ziemer's, and have them all ready for you...! I suspect she's already found a way to insist on some means of being available to you when you are truly needy... I so loved her! I didn't even realize how much, but the little picture above has shown me.
I don't get to Evansville so often these days (except this fall...!), but on occasion... Thus you may hear me on the other end of your phone one of these days--but not for a while, and hopefully not under similar circumstances!
Love and blessings to each of you! Kathleen

Aunt Jeanette was the kindest, sweetest, most generous woman I ever knew. When we both had our craft businesses up and running, we would discuss strategies on selling. I treasure the stained glass pieces she made for me. I will miss her smile, her gentle soul and her beautiful face.

What a smile Aunt Jeanette had! She was one of the nicest people I have ever met and I remember all of the fun times our families had together. She was really talented too - even started her own business and she was so good at making her stained glass! I will always love Aunt Jeanette and hope she realizes how much she meant to me and my family.

To all the Beavens and O'Daniels: Jeanette's passing is such a loss. She was such a giving and loving person. Those are the qualities I remember so well. Last time I saw her she placed one of the "angels" she had made in my hand. It still hangs in a place of honor. My prayers and thoughts are with all of you. Love to all! Kevyne O'Daniel

To Jeanette's family -
My parents (Len and Billye Bauza) were friends through O'Daniel-Ranes and Little Sisters. Jeanette and Paul were always fun-loving, kind and sincerely good people. You have our sympathy during this difficult time.

Keith and family, I always have thought of your mom as being so kind and gracious -- and maybe a little bit mischevious. I know she was greatly loved by all of you, and I'm so sorry for your loss. I will keep all of you in my heart and prayers.
