Laura (Jones) Fuchs, 48, of Evansville, passed away at 11:13 am, Tuesday, August 16, 2011 at St. Mary's Medical Center.
Laura was born April 2, 1963 in Indianapolis, IN to Milford and Donna Jones. She was a graduate of North High School and worked at Outback for 16 years. She showed her compassion for others by being an organ donor. Laura was a devoted, loving wife and mother who will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
She is survived by her husband, Gary and son, Tyler Fuchs, both of Evansville; step-son, Travis Fuchs (Fiancée Lynzee Gentry) of Newburgh; sister, Bobette Steele of Metropolis, IL; brother, Milford "Fred" Jones, Jr. of Paducah, KY; grandchildren, Ashton and Kash Avery Fuchs of Newburgh and her Nanny, Annabelle Greenfield of Evansville.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Paul Jones.
Funeral Services will be held at 1pm, Saturday, August 20, 2011 at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel - 5330 Washington Avenue, Evansville with Reverend Reno DeMuth officiating. Burial will be in Locust Hill Cemetery.
Friends may call from 10 am until 1 pm, service time, Saturday, at Boone Funeral Home - East Chapel.

Laura was a great asset to the Outback Steak House and got to know her from there as I was a regular customer. She would often speak of her family & always had a smile on her face R.I.P. friend

I had the honor of working with Laura for 13 years at Outback. She was a great mentor and dear friend to all.She had many regular customers that would come in on just the nights she worked. Laura had a very genuine way of connecting with people.She always had good stories to tell about Gary,Tyler & Travis.You guys were her world.My heart goes out to you all.Laura was truely a gift to us all and we were blessed to have known her!

Laura you and I went to Evans Grade School.. I still have pictures of all those years back... To the family .... Laura was a character.. always smiling... I am sure she will be missed by all.. May you find comfort in God's arms during this difficult time until someday you are all reunited again........... I am so sorry for your loss.. God bless you all

Laura and I hired in together at Outback Steakhouse when the restaurant opened and I often came in the restaurant when she was working, sat at the bar, and ordered my Campari and soda. I know she will be missed by her family and her family of co-workers at Outback. Hearing of her passing has left me sad. I will always remember our years at Outback. Frank and I retired to South Carolina two years ago.

Laura and I were best friends from about the 6th grade till Junior year. I am very shocked and saddened at her passing. Like Charlene said "childhood joys go on without end." I will always treasure the memories of overnights and ballgames, camping trips and practically living at Midget Links and all of the good times we had together. All of my sympathy and prayers to Gary,Tyler and all of Laura's family.

I was so sad to hear about the passing of your mother. I can still see your mom and dad walking up the sidewalk at Fairlawn to pick you up after school. My heart hurts to know Laura is no longer with us. She was my second 'mama' while we worked together for over 7 years. She had such a kind heart and cared for all of us college kids. I come to her with my problems and she listened and gave me advice for so many things. She could always make me laugh and put a smile on my face. And how she loved to talk about Gary and Tyler. She was so proud of y'all! I will miss her dearly.

I will miss Laura very much. I worked with her for over 7 years. I live one block away from Laura and always had fun hanging out with her. Her Outback family is greiving too. Her passing has hit us all hard. We will all miss her.

Laura and I worked together over 20 years ago at the old Merry-Go-Round restaurant. I could always count on her for a smile and a nice conversation. We both moved on to different jobs and our paths never crossed again. The fact that I remember her so vividly is a testament to the good person she was. May her family and friends find comfort in the memories they shared with Laura. God bless you all in your time of grief.

To family and friends I want to extend my condolence's for the loss of your wife, mother and friend whom I was pleased to have known for many years as a loyal customer. I believe she was a great asset during her many years as a valued employee at The Outback Steak House. She was proud of her family and talked of them frequently. A friend, once she enters your heart, will hold a place there always. I have been looking at pictures of us from grade school, some from our trip to Land Between the Lakes and others of one of my birthday parties that you attended. As kids, You me and Donna shared so many moments of innocence, I felt like you were a sister that I got to pick for myself.
Though you will be missed greatly, childhood joys go on without end!
