Geneva Mills, 95, of Evansville passed away at 10:12 am, Tuesday, December 6, 2016 at Signature Health Care.

Geneva was born on January 23, 1921, in Vandetta, KY. She was the daughter of Ollie (Clayton) and Hazel Davis. Geneva and her sister, Novella Espenlaub, were Rosie the Riveters in Detroit, Ml during WWII. She married William Mills on December 13, 1944 and settled in Evansville. She retired from JC Penney's in 1986 after 25 years of service having worked at both the downtown location and Eastland Mall location. Geneva was active in church, singing in the choir, quartets, and teaching Sunday School, and a longtime attendee of Calvary Temple.

Geneva was preceded in death by her husband, William Mills

Geneva is survived by her son, Ken (Susan), grandchildren Natalie Roehling (Delvan), and Chad Mills, Christina Mills, and five great-grandchildren, Ian Roehling, Grant Mills, Chloe Mills, Josh Mills, and Addison Roehling, and several nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank Signature Healthcare and Kindred Hospice, for their continued care.

Funeral Services will be held at 11 am, Friday, December 9, 2016 at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel-A Family Tradition Funeral Home, 5330 Washington Ave., Evansville with Pastor Darrell Rice officiating. Burial will be in West Lawn Cemetery, Hanson, KY.

Friends may visit from 10 am until time of service at 11 am, Friday at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel-A Family Tradition Funeral Home.
