To the Kanca Family,

I was saddened to hear about John's passing. He was a wonderful man, intelligent, witty and with true convictions. I will never forget hearing him play the accordion after a taxpayers meeting. John played like he did everything else - with passion. He will be truly missed.

Mra. Kanca and family,

I am so very sorry to hear of John's passing. I came to meet John over ten years ago when I was fustrated with town government. I read John's letters to the editor and decided to call him. His words rang true and I felt connected to his beliefs.

He was very polite and generous with his time. I asked him to meet with me so we could work together to bring about change. He was so very important to me and many people who questioned the direction Fairfield was taking. He fuled the fire of my work to bring back two high schools to Fairfield.

I was also treated to John's Accordion playing after a taxpayers association meeting at his home.

John will alwasys be remembered by me with kindness and admiration.

John was a good kind hearted man. I will always remember him with great admiration and deep fondness.

With sympathy,

Dear Mrs. Kanca and family,

My sincere condolences for the loss of your wonderful father. I only knew him a short while when he used to come downstairs after church and I enjoyed talking with him -- especially his story about how he met Julianne (his wife) while in the Army. God rest his soul.

Sincerely, Lois Erdos

Dear Mrs. Kanca and family,

Wishing you my heartfelt sympathy. I will always remember his wonderful smile and especially his contageous laugh. I remember telling him that I just loved his laugh, when he sat behind me at one of the many musicals the choir attended. St John's has lost a wonderful man and singer. I will miss him. May God's love and the memories you hold in your heart give you comfort at this time.

"May his memory be eternal."

My love and deepest sympathies,
