John Valentino

VALENTINO John Valentino, age 53, of Fairfield, the loving husband of Angelina Valentino for over twenty-six years and the devoted father of Frank Anthony and Felicia Bianca Valentino, passed away suddenly on Saturday, July 31, 2010 in St. Vincent's Medical Center. Born in Bridgeport, John was a lifelong area resident. He was formerly a driver with Emsar Research. John was dedicated to his family and could always be found sharing a family meal eating his favorite foods of Roast Beef, Lasagna, Mortadella or Prosciutto. He loved being outdoors at home where you would find him gardening, entertaining the neighborhood children or washing the driveway. He was a fun loving guy; everyone who met him loved him. He also loved both the New York Jets and the New York Yankees. In addition to his wife and children, John is survived by his mother, Rose Silano Valentino; his sister, Elizabeth Tetu and her husband, Gary; his brother, Ron and his wife, Karen, all of Trumbull; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Tony and Michelina Manca of Fairfield; his sister-in-law, Rose Leggo of Ansonia and his nieces and nephews, Danielle Laczkoski, Joey and Jenna Tetu, Anna Leggo and Alyssa & Andrew Valentino. He was predeceased by his father, Frank Valentino. Friends are invited to attend funeral services on Wednesday, August 4, 2010 leaving the Shaughnessey Banks Funeral Home, 50 Reef Road in Fairfield Center at 9:20 a.m. to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St. Thomas Aquinas Church in Fairfield.
