Kevin E. Farkas, age 62, of Derby, entered into rest on Thursday, December 28, 2023, at Bridgeport Hospital with his loving family by his side. He was the beloved husband of 32 years to Judy (Orose) Farkas. Kevin was born in New York City, on April 12, 1961, son of the late Eugene and Theresa (Bopko) Farkas. Kevin particularly enjoyed playing his baby grand piano for his family and friends during visits and over the holidays. Kevin also enjoyed leisurely car rides with his wife, Judy, to visit lighthouses and sightsee on local beaches. Most of all, he cherished spending time with his family. For those who knew Kevin, one thing that stood out was his sharp memory and never forgetting the birthday of a loved one. Kevin was the beloved father of Tony Michael Frouge (and his husband Brian Douglas Streater) and the late Tina Marie (Frouge) Fearnley. He was the loving grandfather of Tina's children, Jake Robert Fearnley (and his partner Shelby Edwards), Sean Harold Fearnley and Alexa Rose Fearnley, and friend to their father, Harold J. Fearnley, Jr. Kevin also was the beloved brother of Elaine Theresa (Farkas) Carvalho and uncle of Theresa (Carvalho) Oleyar (and her husband Robert) and Elizabeth (Carvalho) Faler (and her husband Justin). On Tuesday, friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Riverview Funeral Home, 390 River Rd., Shelton. On Wednesday, his funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. His burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, friends may make contributions to the American Cancer Society in the name of Kevin E. Farkas.
