Sylvia (Babe) Pacarell Burke passed away on October 1, 2013 peacefully at home. She was predeceased by her husband Gerald of 48 years. Born in Bridgeport on October 8, 1940, she was the daughter of the late Vincent and Josephine Rose Pascarell. She was a graduate of Central High School. She was a retired office manager for Zeisler's Bakery and Dr. Klien's Office. In her retirement she and her husband owned and operated Auntie Babe's in Bridgeport. Sylvia loved children, long walks on the beach, dancing, and the casino. Her positive and humorous ways will be missed by all who knew her and loved her. Besides her beloved husband, she was a loving mother to her two sons Andrew and wife Joanne Burke of Stratford, John and wife Kathleen Burke of Milford and a daughter Anna and partner Lucy Raia of New Jersey. Siblings Dolores Burdo, Virginia Testani, Eleanor Pensiero, and Robert Pascarell. The joys of her life, her grandchildren: John, Amanda, Andrew, Nathaniel, and Emma Burke. In-laws Albert Testani, MaryClare Powers, and Anne Burke. Many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by a sister Gloria Cook; Brother-in-laws Jack Burke and Michael Burdo and sister-in-law Anna May Pascarell. Friends are invited to attend a Memorial Mass at St. Andrew's Church, 395 Anton St. Bridgeport on Monday October 7, 2013 at 10am. Burial will take place at the convenience of the family. In abiding with Sylvia's wishes, calling hours have been omitted. The Commerce Hill Funeral Home, 4798 Main St. Bridgeport have been entrusted with the arrangements.
