Orlando Marconi Obituary

Orlando L. "Lando" Marconi, age 83, lifetime resident of Chicago Heights, IL., passed away Friday June 3, 2005 at Vitas Hospice at St. James Hospital, Chicago Heights, IL. Mr. Marconi was a retired owner & founder of Lando's Meat Market, member of St. Agnes Church, US Navy Veteran of WW 2, Chicago Heights VFW Post 2825, American Legion Post 131 & Catholic War Veterans Post 1060. Mr. Marconi is survived by, one son Robert (Debra) Marconi of Crete, IL, two brothers, Mark Marconi of Chicago Heights, IL and Albert Marconi of Chicago Heights, IL, 4 grandchildren, Gregory Marconi, Heather Thompson, Bobby Marconi and Joey Marconi, and 1 great granddaughter, Mylissa Alvarado. 2 nieces and 1 nephew. Preceeded in death by his wife Dolores Marconi (July 1, 1997), daughter Margo Marconi (Aug. 31, 1998) one brother Peter Camaioni, sister Sophie Camaioni, sister-in-law Marie Camaioni and one nephew Paul Camaioni. Visitation Monday June 3, 2005 4 to 8pm. at Fred C. Hub Memorial Chapel at 13th & Otto Blvd. Funeral Tuesday June 7, 2005 at 10am service at funeral home. Interment, Evergreen Hills Memory Gardens in Steger, IL. 708-754-2053

Lando will be missed. We all loved his wonderful sense of humor. I don't think I ever saw the man angry, he laughed all the time. Thanks for the time we had together and God bless you, you're home now.
