Kenneth Willoughby Obituary

Kenneth "Earl" Willoughby, a 69-year resident of the South Bay area, passed away on Friday, March 25, 2011 in Redondo Beach. Born in Los Angeles, CA, Earl was 72 when he died. Earl graduated from Redondo Union High School in 1955. After high school, Earl served in the United States Navy as a missile technician from 1959 to 1961, achieving the rank of second class petty officer. In his younger years, Earl enjoyed building dune buggies and racing at Ascot Raceway in Gardena. Earl was a master carpenter, specifically known for his expertise in constructing free-hanging spiral staircases. Earl loved the Lord and his family immensely. Earl is survived by his wife of 51 years, Luanna Willoughby; his daughter, Pamela Martin and husband, Dave; his son, Keith Willoughby and wife, Amy; and his daughter, Karen Leon and husband, Chris; his grandchildren, Jason Lewis, Lorraine Mitchell, Kristen Yosef, Brittany Martin, Adam Leon, Brandon Leon, Jake Willoughby; and great-granddaughter, Sarah Landucci. Earl is also survived by his sisters, Edith Hopkins and Kay Busse; and his brothers, Leon, Ron and Mark.
